Fitting LR007440 Cup Holder/Oddments Tray to Freelander 2

Some time ago I bought an ashtray (LR005248) to fit in the GLR Freelander 2. This was just to hold odds and ends. However it’s been taking up one of the cup holder locations which causes a problem for GLR staff when visiting their favourite drive through.

I’ve seen the ash tray/oddments holder that fits in the rear of the centre console for sale online but the price seemed to high for a piece of moulded plastic! However, saw this eBay auction online from Trakkers eBay Shop and it was a steal at about £9 including postage.

It arrived yesterday and it was a ten minute job to fit.

I used a spare stainless flange screw found in the shed to secure it. A black one would have been better but that’s something that can be sorted later on.

I have the 2 cupholders back so now need to test them at a local drive through!
