"I did it byway" (Sorry…) – Green Land Rover

"I did it byway" (Sorry…)

I was up in Cumbria over the New Year and while we were out for a drive in the Arnside area one day I saw a byway marked on the OS map quite nearby so I decided to check it out. Known as Dollywood Lane, this byway is at the very southern end of Cumbria. It proved to be a nice gentle, if short drive with a few muddy sections and some very mild rocky outcrops along the track, all easily driven on a firm surface. The only thing of any concern as regards damage to the vehicle were a few sections of overgrown hedgerow which had the potential to cause a few scratches to paintwork if you weren’t careful as the lane narrowed in places. A pleasant drive though if you’re in the area, recommended.
Here’s a link to the location – Dollywood Lane
